Nuno Felting

Create a stunning scarf in only a few hours with a most intruiging felting technique. In Nuno Felting we combine silk and wool to dramatic effect. No experience necessary.

 

Felting Gloves

Saturday September 25, 2010 - 11AM to 2PM

$45 plus supplies

In this class we will be getting ready for winter by making fingerless gloves. Using wool and a resist technique you can form the gloves to exactly the shape of your hand insuring cozy mitts in the cold weather.

 

3D Forming with Resist

Saturday October 9, 2010 - 11AM to 2:30PM

$45 plus supplies

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of resist felting with which you may create all kinds of functional objects such as hats, slippers, seamless bags and more. In this class we will be making a round vessel.

 

Combination Scarf

Saturday October 16, 2010 - 11AM to 1:30PM

$40 plus supplies

This workshop is a variation on the nuno felting technique utilizing more varied material. We will incorporate yarn, silk ribbon and wool to create a more substantial scarf.

 

Creating Wool Jewelry, 2 part class

Saturday October 16, 2010 - 4PM to 6PM

$65 plus supplies for both classes

This is the first session of a two part class where we will make beads out of wool, learn how to envelope memory wire with wool, make a wool flower and rope. This is a fun class working with colors and combining materials. In the first session we create beads, ropes and coils. The second session focuses on decorating our wool beads to make necklaces and bracelets. Great gifts for Christmas!

 

 

Creating a Felt Mask

Saturday October 23, 2010 - 11AM to 2:30PM

In the spirit of Haloween, we will make a mask. Both flat and resist felting techniques will be utilized in this class.

Utilize those old blankets or clothes that have been taking up space in your house by recycling them into something useful by twining a rug!
